François and Maggy Doucet set up a confectionery workshop in the heart of Oraison, in the last almond factory still in service. At that time, their only product was "pralino eis amando de Prouvènço" : grilled provencal almonds wrapped in nougatine (a mixture of caramelised sugar, ground almonds, Provencal herbs and bourbon vanilla).
30 years later, the company S.A. Francois Doucet Confiseur was set up on a small industrial estate, and the factory is spread over 3000 m². It employs 45 full time workers, sells products throughout France with 30% going for export to a highly demanding clientele, which insists on high standards, value for money, quality ingredients and expertise from the producer.
